 “Schalke Hilft!” is a non-profit limited liability company (geGmbH). In addition to the management, there is a Foundation Board, which congregates annually to discuss and decide on the use of funds and worthy projects to support. Each year, the Foundation assesses thousands of requests for funding, emotional support, merchandise for raffles, and the use of players for charitable purposes, and games for events and festivals.

Hintergrund
In order to organise its community work and to manage external requests, FC Schalke 04 established a foundation called “Schalke Hilft!” (Schalke Helps) in 2008. This structure is recognized as a longstanding social commitment, which targets socially disadvantaged children and families in Gelsenkirchen and throughout the Ruhr area.
