Recognising its limitations, the Foundation has set up a partnership model in order to make them more sustainable, to add to their credibility and to guarantee that they are run properly, XICS centres are run on a daily basis by local charity or foundation, and are supported by the countries’ ministries and administrations. These organisations are involved in a wide range of activities including the transfer of land for the construction or remodelling of the centres and sport facilities and providing access for the centre’s children to basic public services, particularly those related to education and health.
