In 2008, MTG set out its strategic plan for the three years until the end of 2010. Included within this report is an overall goal; a purpose, with measurable indicators; and five separate outputs, each with their own quantifiable indicators, planned activities, financial resources and staffing cover.

MTG gives young women and girls the chance to develop their leadership, organising skills and confidence through football. It also encourages girls to champion their rights through being a part of an empowered critical mass of young women.
